Content Library Explorer - items greyed out

I have some items that show with no name & greyed out.

Obviously some content that used to exist, but is no longer with us.

I assume the info about it is being read from DB? If so any tables that can be edited, so the content is removed?

It can not be done in Console, as there are NO longer any references to it by any existing object

Don't worry about that unless the console displays "in progress" or "error" when distributing content to a DP.

But still, do you know where this data comes from?

WMI on the DP.

Then this might be helpful to fix it:

This script does delete some invalid packages, but definitely NOT the one greyed out in CLE, they stay "happily" greyed out.

They used to exist in File Library at some stage in the past, but got deleted by hand (as the removal from DP / Content tab did not remove them (even not assigned to anything else)

This might be the cause ... it's not recommended to change anything in the content lib manually. You could try to update the package/app version and see if that fixes it though.

I do not want this package/app at all. So I want want to remove any references to it

Honestly... I do not want File Library in that format at all (I hate its layout and duplication of the source)

And when does the content gets FULLY removed from DP?

Had package that was distributed to DP.

I no longer need it in DP, so it was removed from DP Content.

Now Explorer shows the package greyed out with NO NAME (just SP number & asterix *)

But the content still exists in SCCMContentLib\FileLib

When will it be fully gone?
