Content Approval and Audit

Environment: MOSS2013SP1, Record Library with Versioning and "content approval" enabled. Full auditing of the site collection.

Note: "content approval" != "approval workflow"

Issue: How to audit document approval actions?
I have created a custom audit log report with the following settings:
- "Edit Items"
- "Workflow events"
- "Custom events"

and yet no content approval action from e.g. "draft" to "approved" shows up in the audit report.

Q: Where is this piece of information stored and how can i access the approval history of a document or list item?

I did use audit logs, as described in my first post.

In fact i have enabled ALL available options in a custom report and content approval actions are not mentioned.

So, how can i determine the approver and approval time and history of a document?

Hi Armin,

For this issue, I recommend to create an ItemUpdated event receiver to monitor the update for Approval Status as a workaround.

 Thanks,

Victoria
