What do you mean a constant? If you mean just a constant value, you can create a calculated field, and use an expression to hard-code the value.

Hi MJ, As YASHWANT posted, we can following the steps to create a variable. In Reporting Services, we can create a report variable or a group variable. The report variable is set once and can be used in expressions throughout a report, the group variable is set once per unique group value and can be used in expressions at the current level or below in the group hierarchy. Generally, the custom code can include new custom constants, variables, functions, or subroutines. We can use embedded code for custom constants, complex functions or functions that are used multiple times in a single report. For more information, please refer to Using Custom Code References in Expressions (Reporting Services). If I have something misunderstood, please point out and elaborate your requirement with more details. Thanks, Bin Long
