Connectors with/without Flow updates
Hi, Please could someone explain to us the "Connectors with/without Flow updates"? There are also a few other entries on the Statistics page when running a profile...perhaps there is a page explaining all of them somewhere? Thanks.

A connector is an object in the connector space of a management agent that is joined (either through a join or a projection) to a corresponding object in the metaverse. A flow update occurs either during an import attribute flow or an export attribute flow. The status that you're asking about indicates how many connector objects either did or did not have an IAF or EAF occur during an MA run. If you click the corresponding hyperlink you'll see additional details about the attribute flow, or lack thereof. Paul Adare MVP - Identity Lifecycle Manager http://www.identit.ca

sorry, coffee not working this morning...that explanation does not make sense to us.... How is "Connectors with/without Flow updates" linked to IAF and EAF?

Flow = attribute flow, whether that is Inbound attribute flow (IAF) or Export attribute flow (EAF). The notification you're asking about indicated how many connectors either had or did not have any inbound or export attribute flow. Paul Adare MVP - Identity Lifecycle Manager http://www.identit.ca

The documentation on the various management agent run profile information/statistics can be found here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms697764(v=VS.85).aspx

in addition to Pauls & Pauls comments: the synchronization statistics distinguish between Staging Inbound synchronization Outbound synchronization and Export In the Staging area you can find all differences between the connected data source and the MA connector space The Inbound section shows all activities in terms of trying to map/unmap a connector space object with a Metaverse object (Joins, Projections, Filters) attribute flows from the connector space to Metavers (aka IAFs) The Outbound section displays possible provisioning actions (add, rename, delete a object) attribute flows from a Metaverse object to a target connector space object (aka EAFs) And finally the Export section shows all modification really done in the target external system. If you exactly want to know which IAF / EAF was applied you can use the Preview mode to see how and when IAFs / EAFs work. /Matthias
