Connection can not be established. Server name, port number, or credentials may be invalid
I have a SSIS package which will connect to FTP server to download the files. It has been successfully running from past 2 months. All of a sudden from Monday it's giving me this error. Connection can not be established. Server name, port number, or credentials may be invalid I checked with my FTP vendor he said nothing has been changed from their side. I'm struggling with this issue since Monday. Can anyone shed some light on this?

from the server (where SSIS is running), open a command prompt, type ftp <ftpaddress> Ex. ftp ftp.microsoft.com supply the valid credentials and you should be able to connect to it. It should give information whether the server can't be reach, password incorrect or user name is invalid. Randy Aldrich Paulo MCTS(BizTalk 2010/2006,WCF NET4.0), MCPD | My Blog

Does it work? what's the error? Unknown host? because from "Connection can not be established. Server name, port number, or credentials may be invalid" you need to isolate whether it's the server or credentials. Randy Aldrich Paulo MCTS(BizTalk 2010/2006,WCF NET4.0), MCPD | My Blog

So that's the error, check with the administrator of the ftp and verify your credentials.Randy Aldrich Paulo MCTS(BizTalk 2010/2006,WCF NET4.0), MCPD | My Blog

Hi, just try to create a new test package to connect to FTP alone and check in another server so that you can come to know if the issue is with the FTP provider or from your side. Thanks Karthikeyan Anbarasan http://f5debug.net/
