I have 2 Front End Server (NLB)

When Creating a Sub-site. It taking quite long and after 1 minute Connection Timedout error occurs. However, despite that error, when I visit the Sub-Site page I see that Sub-Site is created and functional. Unable to find any reason behind that Connection Timedout error

Hi,

An error appears if the connection time-out for a Web site is not the  default value. The default value is 120  seconds for the default Web site and the SharePoint Central  Administration Web site.

For your issue, try to change the connection time-out  to the default value that the error message specifies for the affected Web site
