Connecting Custom List to Outlook Calendar

The company I work for runs work orders through a custom "Work Orders" list, and I am trying to display this work order schedule to our technicians through outlook.  The "Work Orders" list has date fields "Date Start" and "Date End," which are used to display the schedule through a calendar view.  I created a calendar app, "Technician Calendar," and used a  calendar overlay to display the schedule to our technicians.  The items in the "Work Orders" list use "assigned to" to indicate which technicians will be on the work order. When I link the "Technician Calendar" to Outlook, I am unable to see any of the work orders assigned to me. If I go to the calendar through internet explorer and add a calendar item, it displays in outlook, but none of the items from the "Work Orders" list display.

How do I link the "Work Orders" list to our technicians' outlook calendars, so they only see the "Work Orders" list items assigned to them?
