Connect to Outlook Admin
We have a large number of users that have created connections to Outlook from a wide variety of calendars and task lists, etc. Is there any method to get a list of who has a "connection" to a certain list? Is there a method to remove the connections as an administrator? I know we can go into each user's Outlook > Tools > Account Settings > SharePoint Lists and remove the connections. But this requires getting on each user's computer. We are looking for something from the SharePoint side as an administrator. When we move the site or remove the permissions, everyone who had a "connect to Outlook" gets error messages about not being able to connect to the site anymore. Needless to say the Help desk is not amused. Thank you.

When use connect SharePoint calendar to Outlook, a local .PST file is created user's profile. There is nothing on the SharePoint server side to record this connection. Please read http://searchexchange.techtarget.com/generic/0,295582,sid43_gci1367182,00.html Although you can control Outlook and SharePoint integration with the group policy (http://www.petri.co.il/establishing-group-policies-for-outlook-2007.htm ), I am not sure whether you can remove an existing connection with it.
