Connect 2 lists from 2 different webapplications MOSS 2007
Dear all, I have 2 SharePoint lists named as A and B which were created under 2 different web applications. I want list B to get updated from list A with all kind of operations like add, update and delete. So whenever there is a new item created in list A, the same should get created in list B. Same with UPDATE and DELETE also. Please suggest the ways that we can achieve this. It would be great if we can achieve this using SPD or OOB features. -Thanks Kalyan Polasi

Since the lists are under different web applications (and different content databases) the only way to do this is using object model or sharepoint web services.Isha kapoor My SharePoint Blog Follow me

Hi, You should create custom event handler for your issue then only you can add / update / delete metadata in second list based on first list. Here is some reference link: http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/Chandresh.P/EventHandler04292009070324AM/EventHandler.aspx http://vspug.com/mykiep/2007/02/14/writing-custom-event-handlers-for-moss/ Hope this will helpCheers, Hemendra-MCTS "Yesterday is just a memory,Tomorrow we may never see"
