Configuring User Alerts
We recently migrated our SharePoint installation to a newer server and we are now experiencing an error message when users try to configure alerts:
The following users do not have e-mail addresses specified: mydomain\domainuser. Alerts have been created successfully but these users will not receive e-mail notifications
until valid e-mail addresses have been provided
Set my e-mail address...
After I click on Set my e-mail address and populate the e-mail address field, I still do not receive alerts and continue to get this error message while trying to configure any additional alerts.
I have even manually edited the User Profiles through my SSP to populate the SIP Address and Work E-mail address fields, but this still makes no difference.
What might be causing this problem?
