I inherited the administration of a SharePoint Services 3.0 server (v12.0.0.6421) on a Window Server 2008 SP2 OS running IIS 7. Users have asked me to be able to upload large files to the SharePoint site. I followed all the instructions in both http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925083 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944981 . But when I navigate to the site after completing this, I receive the following error: 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. I have isolated the error to the suggested fix in kb944981; when I remove the system.webServer XML code from the web.config, I do not receive the error (but I still can't upload large files). Does anyone know what is going on? How do I troubleshoot or fix this? Thanks, Steve
