Configuration for Incoming email integration (different email domain from default)
Dear all, I am very new to Sharepoint and Exchange system. I have successfully configured our system to receive email and show it in a document library. I am using Automatic settings in the section of "Enable incoming E-mail" in sharepoint. The problem I have is the domain of the email address. The SMTP mail server is something like Exchange.abc.com. However, the email generated by sharepoint is like testemail@abc.com though "xyz.com" is specified in the "E-mail server display address". testemail@abc.com only works internally because the company regisers with the email domain "xyz.com". It can only receive messages from testemail@xyz.com. How can I change the setting to make it work? I am not sure the work need to be done in Exchange or Sharepoint? Anyone has advice? Thanks.
