This is all i get in the event log, OpsMgr has no configuration for management group TEST_NEW and is requesting new configuration from the Configuration Service. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Another thing, we have been waiting for a config file for almost 8 days now. Nothing has been published

Any other errors\warnings in OpsMgr eventlog on RMS? Are you changed anything in your RMS configuration\SQL configuration before you got this issue?http://OpsMgr.ru/

Nothing was changed, we added 1500 new agents that gave us the 10000 number. We have tried removing the MP's still nothing, is there a way i can run a query to see what the DB is doing in terms of the config file

Check that your System Center Management Configuration service is running. You can also trace all calls to the OperationsManager Db made from Configuration Service using SQL Profiler... Also, check to see if you're getting 21023 event in the Operations Manager event log - they indicate that RMS tries to get config... ----------------- Vitaly Filimonov [MSFT] This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Howzit guys, Well logged a case with MS as the config file still has not been generated. I have checked there is events been logged for 21023. But no config file still. MS are looking at the problem. We lower the agents to 7000 now to see if the config file will be generated with less agents putting pressure on the DB. We currently have 1 million state changes in a week. The enviroment is huge, we have disabled monitors and different rules but with the config file not been complied the overides are not been picked up

You can also trace all calls to the OperationsManager Db made from Configuration Service using SQL Profiler... How would i go about trying this?

You can run SQL Profiler and monitor all queries where Application Name is like '%Config%'. This is a simple way to see all queries System Cernter Management Configuraiton makes to the Ops Db. We'd be looking for patterns here... Also, can you please try the following: stop HS on RMS and delete %Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Health Service State folder (entire folder). Start HS again. THis may help... Definitely continue to work with CSS - large environments are a bit tricky to work with and our support guys have plenty of knowledge around troubleshooting the product...Vitaly Filimonov [MSFT]
