Config Manager 2012 Client Install Issues
Hello everyone, It's been many years since I have used SCCM so my knowledge is rather light. I have installed Config Manager 2012 R2 into my environment to test and followed the guides out on the internet to make sure it's properly configured. The issue I am running into is when I go to install the client on the machines that have been discovered nothing happens on about 3/4 of the machines. If I install the client manually it can't seem to find the site. If I enter the information manually it claims Configuration Manager did not find a site to manage this client. I have checked to make sure exceptions are allowed in the firewall, turned off the firewall, checked to make sure WMI service was running, checked permissions on WMI and that appears to be fine. I have setup a Boundary along with a Boundary group as well. Any thoughts?

There is no "ConfigMgr 2012 R2", but "ConfigMgr 2007 R2" ... Which client installation method did you use? Is the site publishing to AD? Is the schema extended? What's in LocationServices.log and ClientLocation.log?Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

However, if you are using the ConfgiMgr. 2012, please post the CM12 related questions in the ConfgiMgr. 2012 forum. http://innovation.connect.microsoft.com/configmgrbeta/discussionsSabrina TechNet Community Support

I ran into this issue and it turned out the Use this boundary group for site assignment was not checked in the boundary group. Is it checked in yours? Here is a post I made on this: http://www.buchatech.com/2012/04/configuration-manager-did-not-find-a-site-to-manage-this-client/ My Blog | www.buchatech.com | www.dpm2010.com If you found this post helpful, please give it a "Helpful" vote.
