ConfigMgr Remote Control Driver has not passed Windows Logo Testing?
I'm in the process of pushing the SCCM SP2 R3 Client out to around 400 workstations (via Client Push). On a few of the workstations, the attached message has been displayed to the user, which is obviously not ideal and I've never seen this before. The 2 machines I've personally seen it on were both running XP SP3. Anyone have any idea why this has happened and what we can do to prevent it? Thanks Chez

Hi, I never seen that with Windows xp. ConfigMgr RC driver should pass the test!!! Anyway, change the signing driver option on both xp machines http://www.technipages.com/disable-has-not-passed-windows-logo-testing-message.html then the issue should be solved.Bechir Gharbi | http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/community/members/bgharbi/ | Time zone : GMT+1

Thanks for the suggestion. I already know how to do that, but that is just a workaround, rather than fixing the root cause of the issue.

That can be related to your hardware (especially your video card in your case) which is not designed for XP or that can be appear If Microsoft have not done a test on similar hardware (to yours) to confirm the compatibility. Read these following links to better understand the Signing driver/Windows Logo mecanisms http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487322 (it is appalicable also for xp) ; http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/code_signing.mspx?mfr=trueBechir Gharbi | http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/community/members/bgharbi/ | Time zone : GMT+1

I had thought that already.. however the 2 machines have different video cards. One has Intel, one AMD, which makes me think it's probably not that.

This issue can be caused by the files associated the ConfigMgr Remote Control Driver did not properly created. What about to reinstall the client to test this issue? Is this issue able to be reproduced?Sabrina TechNet Community Support
