ConfigMgr Computer Association modification question
Can the Computer Associations be modified after the fact, if the data is already captured on the SMP, can we redirect that to new computer record? I don't see a way to edit/change the Computer Association, is that possible? Or can we delete it and recreate it with a new destination computer, but still have the source computer link up the existing data in the SMP store? Thanks!

not in supported way that i'm aware of, you'd probably have to edit the database in order to achieve this and that is not supported. cheers niall My step by step SCCM Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

Thanks for the info. So am I doing something wrong or missing the bigger picture, it seems like this scenario would not be common but would happen enough for someone to need to redo the migration. If the old computer was already wiped, how can I restore the data to a different computer if the Computer Association is wrong?

You can modify everything in the computer association except the destination via the wmi class. Yes, this is a common ask, however, it was considered a security issue. This is one reason some do not use the computer but then you'd have to create your own solution entirely.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys
