ConfigMgr 2012 R2 Sp1 - Driver Import takes a Really Long Time, and Packages for drivers are now 10-12 times the size of source!

I am seeing some pretty bad things since ConfigMgr 2012 R2 Sp1, namely in OSD.

Issues seen on a Brand new Site install are:

1. A Driver Source Directory that is 850 MB in Size, once imported the Package is 9.73 GB in Size (That's 10-11x's bigger! ). If I had 10 PC Models, that would eat up 100 GB!

2. Import Time of Drivers takes minutes to several hours now depending on the size.

Neither of these items is something customers can live with, and there are postings all over the place now on these issues. Is the Product Group aware of this and in progress of releasing a fix as I cannot recommend R2 Sp1 until these issues are resolved (Not to mention that RBA Viewer is not compatible with this version either.

Thanks for any upd

Duplicate. See https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/e6b39a1e-e66e-4223-8c94-46b62b7ebeac/sccm-2012-r2-sp1-driverpack-bug?forum=configmanagergeneral

Thanks, I tried that and it fails to make packages. I found that the best workaround thus far is this:http://model-technology.com/sccm-2012-r2-sp1-driver-import-bug-workaround/

Thanks
