Hello, How could I change the Alert Description for the monitor named: ConfigMgr 2007 service running: SMS_EXECUTIVE I need to change the description and the content of the alert as it does not show the status of the service... I would like in the alert something like: ConfigMgr 2007 service running: SMS_EXECUTIVE not started or stopped unexpectively dame for SMS_SITE_COMPONENT Thanks, Dom System Center Operations Manager 2007 / System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 / Forefront Client Security / Forefront Identity Manager

Hi, Alert Description can not be changed without changing and resealing original MP..but it wont be the same MP and you wont be able to update it later...you could only change Company Knowledge http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagergeneral/thread/aae19511-c886-4d00-8e6f-015707b177f8 http://2012scom.blogspot.ru/2012/07/having-trouble-attempting-to-edit.html

Hi, you could override this monitor (enabled: false) then create your own monitor with the same target as overridden one, and you will have posibility to indicate the alert description as you need. the easiest way to create such monitor is to use predefined template Windows Service or use VSAE and additional inf. : http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2010/11/07/monitoring-windows-services-automatic-manual-and-disabled-using-checkstartuptype.aspx
