Hi all, I have a site with a Config Mgr 2007 SP2 box all works fine, then every now and again two things happen1) Statview crashes every time i launch it2) My boot images can no longer be readI then go and re-apply SP2, and all is good again - for a few days or maybe even a week, before it proceeds to die again.When opening statview, i get the corresponding event logged in the app event log...Faulting application statview.exe, version 4.0.6487.2000, time stamp 0x4ab33ff3, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x00000000, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0xde88d844, process id 0x16c0, application start time 0x01caba67b5f8f344The version number is SP2 - the file doesn't seem to have changed - so im not quite what is casuing the error - and mroe to the point - im not quite sure where to look to find out what is causing this crash. The fact that re-applying SP2 "fixes" this would tend to indicate that some supporting dll or other file had changed. (im assuming the 000005 is an access denied, but to what?)Has anyone else ever run into this? or can anyone offer advice on how to trace the root cause of this issue?Thanks.
