Command to decrypt an esd file

Hi

When Windows 10 downloads an esd file with Windows Update, before installing it, Windows must decrypt it.

What command used to do this?

Thanks

This is completely unsupported but if you take the time to do a simple web
search you'll find lots of tools that will do

You need to be a bit more specific as in your previous threads.

A command in what?  CMD, DISM, etc

As suggested in your previous threads.  You do not.  To decrypt an ESD you need the algorithm.  You would need an app that has/knows it and the method to use.

You cannot simply say (from an admin cmd) decrypt instill.esd.  It is much more complicated.

So, using the command prompt, how do I decrypt an esd file?

Thanks

Have a look at

Instructions: Create a bootable ISO file using ESD Image for Windows 10 Build 10049

as starting point perhaps. Does have links in that article. I used that to expand esd files for Insider builds but it has stopped working for builds after 10240 (10525 I tried ) as the encryption key changed.

If someone knows the encryption key of an esd file, using the DISM command, how do I decrypt it?

Thanks
