Collections not working properly after a rebuild
Hi, We had our SCCM 2007 Site built and collections were working fine as SITE1. Had some unexpected issues and had to build from scratch again but because SITE1 was still being recognized we used SITE2. Currently some workstations and servers have been recognized with a proper site code and some do not have a Site code assigned? All of our 2008 and 2008R2 servers are not recognized and trying to figure out how to get ALL SYSTEMS recognized. I tried to Install client and checked the Always Install (repair or upgrade client). Added two new 2008R2 servers and they are recognized by ALL SYSTEMS automatically. How can I get ALL SYSTEMS to properly be recognized by SCCM 2007 after the rebuild to SITE2? Thanks!

So you built a brand new site using a new site code but your machines are not showing up at all in the All Systems collection? John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|

Some workstations and few servers have shown up in ALL SYSTEMS. Some have a SITE2 site code and some don't. We have 30+ servers that are not recognized so any help as to making sure ALL workstation and Servers are being collected properly.

Is it a single site? If you have reinstalled a single site wuthout using a restore, you are installing a "brand new site" even if you re-use the same site name and site code. This can lead to scenarios like the ones in this article - http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrteam/archive/2009/04/09/reassigning-a-configuration-manager-client-across-hierarchies.aspxKent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hi, Have your brand new site SITE2 discovered all clients? Have you tried to reassign new site code manually? Have a look at this document: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680370.aspx Have you removed SITE1's boundaries? and all clients are in the SITE2's boundary? Take this document as a reference: How to verify configuration manager site assignment Any errors exists in the clients' log files? Also when you reinstalling the clients you should specify the trusted root key for new site using SMSPublicRootKey or SMSROOTKEYPATH options. Thanks
