Collection of desktops where a particular user is logged on
Hi there, I do have a requirement to create a collection of desktops used by a particular user. ie.., Say there is a domain user 'user1' ,used by a number of engineers on different desktops to login. I would need to create a collection of all such computers where 'user1' is logged on. Can somebody please share a query to create such a collection. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for currently logged on, SCCM is not your puppy. If you are looking for has logged on then Asset Intelligence will offer that - assuming you have it and logon auditing turned on

Hi Alter, Thanks for your response. However,i need a small clarification as I am new to SCCM administration. Do you mean to say that there is no way i can create a collection of systems where a particular user is logged on? The acutal requirement is that I should be able to deploy patches/applications to a particular user(s) assigned systems. Thanks in advance.

In CM 2012 you can achieve this using user device affinity. Or else refer to the below blog post http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/892-deploy-software-through-ad-groups-linked-to-collections-in-sccm/Anoop C Nair - @anoopmannur MY BLOG: http://anoopmannur.wordpress.com User Group: ConfigMgr Professionals This posting is provided AS-IS with no warranties/guarantees and confers no rights.
