Clipart Organizer will not display Web Collection icons / Dglxasset placeholder displays
Last week students were able to view icons in teh Clip Art Organizer for "all collections". Today, icons for "Web Collections" display the same generic placeholder for every image that shows a musical note and the letters WAV; under this image is what could be a partial file name: dglxasset.... . Hovering over any of these icons will provide property detail (the collection in which the icon is contained, the file size, file type [JPG, WMF, etc.]) and you can right-click to display the image in the preview window. (Once the image previews, however, it still not not display in the web Collections list.) These computers are all running Windows XP SP3, 1GB RAM, p$ 3.0MHz processor and Office 2007. Here are the steps I've taken to fix this issue, all with no avail: - Deleted all files in Internet Options as suggested in KB 835413, which describes this problem perfectly. - Changed the hardware acceleration of the video card (slowed it down) - Since the problem only started today and the Web Collections icons were displaying last week, did a System Restore to a date the prior week when the icons were known to work - Fully updated one computer with every patch and upgrade available from Microsoft. None of these addressed the problem, the icons still do not show up and the dlgxasset reference continues to display. The issue occurs whether logged into the domain as a common user or as a domain administrator (highest privileges) I did notice, however, that there is a reference under the preview window to the Catalog location online as office2010.microsoft.com. I don't know how long the Catalog location has pointed there. Other machines running Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7 are not experiencing the issue. Any ideas?
