Clients not marked as inactive
Hello all, We have clients in our SCCM database that are marked as active, that have been removed from AD more than 60 days ago. The agent time for AD System Discovery Agent is more than 60 days old, the last heartbeat from the machine is also 60 days ago, but I noticed that on some clients, the System Group Discovery Agent time is current. I understand why those clients would be marked as active. But on some clients, all three dates are more than 60 days old and they too are marked as active. If the machine is turned off and has been deleted from AD for more than two months, why is the system group discovery agent date current? Why aren't my old clients, where all of the discovery data is old, being marked as inactive? Thanks.

System Group discovery runs against the AD groups . if that machine still avaialbel in AD than it will show dates when the system groups discovery runs.

If the machine is turned off and has been deleted from AD for more than two months, why is the system group discovery agent date current? That should not happen IF the computer account was really deleted from AD. Just examine adsysgrp.log.

Yes I know this is an old post. PC will only be marked inactive by Client Status Reporting or when the PC is marked as obsolete. On top of that PCs will get deleted out of the CM07 db after ~90 days (default setting) http://www.enhansoft.com/
