Did you upgrade the SMS or did you perform a new installation and a now trying to install the SCCM client on the old SMS 2003 clients? If so, then you also need to remove the trusted root key from the clients otherwise they will not be assigned to the new site. Information about the trusted root key http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632527.aspx and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680495.aspxKent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hello - Let's try the below custom search in AD. Replace below sample values with REAL values --> <IPSUBNET OF THE CLIENT> & <AD SITE> (&(&(&(&(ObjectCategory=mSSMSSite)(|(mSSMSRoamingBoundaries=<IPSUBNET OF THE CLIENT>)(mSSMSRoamingBoundaries=<AD SITE>)))))) If you are getting two results like SMS-SIte-<Site Code> and SMS-SIte-<Site Code1> then delete the OLD entry from here. That may resolve the issue. Anoop C Nair Hi Anoop , returns just one and true result. Hi Torsten , i've checked the dc not an replications issue and if i assign manually site code it works but i have 1700 clients and i want to know resource of this problem.

Hello - Some where in your environment, still have the old sms site details? May be, some SLP setting? Did you check the client discovery data from the console? What is the AD site and IP subnet in the record?Anoop C Nair

Actually , The SMS2003 servers removed from network without uninstall , we have removed all records about sms2003 from ad and install sccm 2007 r3. We installed agents via gpo to all clients. Some clients discover the slp but wants to register with old site code. Any chance that it's an AD replication issue? Can you manually assign the client to a site using the control panel applet?Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
