Clients Not installing updates...
Hello,I am having trouble getting sce to install updates on the client system, I am testing the sce software on one client. The updates that were approved have downloaded to the test system but have not installed. There are at least 50 new folders created on the clients system. Also If I go to the client and shut the system down the client tries to install some updates but after abount an hour waiting the updates never install. Can someone please help me get sce to install updates on my client system? Thanks

Hi, What is the Operations System on the client machine? From your description, it seems that Automatic Updates service caused the problem. Please try to re-register the Windows Update dll files to resolve it: 1. Run CMD.exe and launch the commands below: regsvr32.exe c:\winnt\system32\wuweb.dllregsvr32.exe c:\winnt\system32\wups2.dllregsvr32.exe c:\winnt\system32\wups.dllregsvr32.exe c:\winnt\system32\wucltui.dllregsvr32.exe c:\winnt\system32\wuaueng1.dllregsvr32.exe c:\winnt\system32\wuaueng.dllregsvr32.exe c:\winnt\system32\wuapi.dll 2. Restart the Automatic Updates service. If the above steps cannot help, check if any error message in the windowsupdate.log from %windir% on the client machine. Thanks,Yog Li - MSFT

ok, it seems like the update did install, I needed to go to wsus to accept the agreement for windows xp sp3 in addition to the steps you provided. Now I have a lot of warnings that state script or executable failed to run for the health service.
