Client not reporting to SCCM2007
hi Expert, After renaming the host id of client, we are not able to see the renamed client host id in any collection. We have even reintalled the client manually on system with command;ccmsetup.exe /mp:sccm1 sccmsitecode=sccm1 fsp=sccm1. Please help me. Regards, Sunil

Collections are not a real-time representation of what's in the db. you Must update them to rerun any queries that they are based on and refresh their data with the current data in the db. I usually find that working with queries is much simpler when performing these types of operations.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys

Open the control panel and click on the Discovery button to force a DDR back to the Site. Also wait awhile and do a Update Collection on the All systems collection and see if the old system is marked as obselete and if the new name is there. Do you currently see the old name marke as Obsolete? http://www.sccm-tools.com http://sms-hints-tricks.blogspot.com

Hi Sunil, Please make sure SMS Agent HOST service is started, then trigger a data discovery cycle in the configmgr control pane lapplet from the client. About 5 minutes later, update your collection membership and refresh it. See whether this forces the client to show up.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
