Client doesnt receive advertisements sent to users
Our current problem is as follows on SCCM 2007 SP2 R3: 1 Primary site server: M01 1 Primary child server: M02 1 Client connected to M02 Package advertisement made to a client computer collection, package installs perfectly Package sent to user we get the following message in the PolicyAgent.log on the client: Requesting User policy assignments for 'S-1-5-21-4260886906-2140830938-3758581742-1677' PolicyAgent_RequestAssignments 4/14/2011 5:59:09 PM 6776 (0x1A78) Requesting policy from authority 'SMS:M02' PolicyAgent_RequestAssignments 4/14/2011 5:59:09 PM 6776 (0x1A78) Skipping request for user policy assignments due to agent configuration for authority 'SMS:M02'. PolicyAgent_RequestAssignments 4/14/2011 5:59:09 PM 6776 (0x1A78) When we add the same client to site M01 it runs the user advertisement without problems. I checked all the settings for the Primary site M02 (boundaries, agent config, etc) but cant find any problems there. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hello - The client boundary is assigned to which primary site? Did you check locationservices.log and ClientIDManagerStartup.log?Anoop C Nair - This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees, and confers no rights. |Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Do you have Allow user targeted advertisement requests enabled on M02 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632371)?Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys

@Jason, yes that setting is enabled on both M01 and M02, I have transfered those settings from M01 to M02. @An00p, the client boundary subnet is set to M02 and packages are indeed downloaded from the M02 distribution point (even if we manually assign a client to M01). Check out this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrswdist/thread/2f789c46-9e30-46d2-8c82-23efc2a41a0b/. Maybe try what they did, unchecking the option, letting it propogate out, and then reenabling.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys

Well, that worked like a charm! I had the checkbox turned off for about 8 hours then turned it back on and what do you know. Within 5 minutes the user advertisements started. Thanks Jason!
