Client cannot upload file to Sharepoint 2007 if client setup squid proxy server
Hi experts, We just configure a squid server to speed up remote site access performance. Users use IE8 to work with Microsoft SharePoint server (MOSS) 2007. We found user cannot upload files to server folder correctly: 1. Failed to upload single file: - Go to upload form - Select file and click "Upload" --> Sharepoint reports upload failed - Click IE8 "Back" and back to upload page, select the file again and click "Upload" --> Success to upload 2. File to do multiple file upload: - Select upload files and click "Upload" --> the system always reports "exceed upload size limit" what ever only a small file is selected to upload. Additional information: - Sharepoint server: MOSS 2007 - Client: IE8 - Squid server: 3.1.10 (Platform: Linux Proxy port: 3128) Please advise. Thank you. Best regards, Louis

Hello Louis, 1) Did this issue occur even before the introduction of SQUID server? 2) If possible to bypass, does the issue occur if you bypass the SQUID server? (by adding an entry in the HOSTS file of one of the affected client machine) e.g. IPAddress_of_SharePointServer sharepointsite.company.com 3) This could be an configuration issue with Alternate Access Mappings; please ensure you have correctly configured Alternate Access Mappings by following http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc261814(office.12).aspx Please remember to click 'Mark as Answer' on the post that helps you or click 'Unmark as Answer' if a marked post does not actually answer your question. We tried TMG server as the proxy service between client and sharepoint server. It solves the problem and works fine now. Thanks for your help.
