Client System Renamed - Lost connectivity with SCOM Monitor
We had to rename one of our systems and now it is no longer being monitored. What is the recommended process to add a server with a name change? Do I need to re-install the agent and then deleted the old server from SCOM? We are running SCOM 2012. Thanks, Eric

Hi As you have already renamed the server, you'll probably have to log on to the server to manually remove it. Then go to the SCOM console, administratio, agent managed and delete the agent from there. Then you should be able to push the agent out again. Ideally, remove the agent before renaming the server. Thanks for the post. I was able to reinstall the agent and just delete the old system name.
