Client Push installation accounts - local administrator account
Just wondering what others do in this situation. In the Client Push installation accounts I like to add numerous account to increase the rate of successful client installation. In this environment, there are several passwords used for the LOCAL builtin administrator account. I can list 2 of the passwords by using the following formats for the user name: .\administrator - uses password 1 %machinename%\administrator - uses password 2 If I try to reuse any of the user name, it tells me that the user name is already in use, however I want to add it again but with a different password. What do others do?

You can't have the same account twice. What I do is create a domain account, use a GPO to make it a local admin and use that account.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

You can even add the computer account of the siteserver to the local admins using a GPO. It will be used by client push if no push account was defined.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
