Here results are surprising. If wbemtest is launched on the site server (Server 2008) I get the same connection error. Now, if I use wbemtest from my XP machine or a server 2003 the connection succeed It's not really suprising, because the siteserver and wbemtest on the siteserver are failing with the same error code. Could it be a firewall issue since you can connect from other systems? (0x800706ba = The RPC server is unavailable)

Hi Torsten,All computer affected by this issue are laptops. Most of them have CheckPointVPN-1SecureClientinstalled.I can figure why Remote connection works from an XP box but not from the server 2008.Do I need to open specific ports for server 2008 ?

Looks like a FW issue. try disabling FWs and then try for the push.Raj

I am having the same issue, but I'm pretty sure it is not a firewall. The Windows XP Firewall service is not enabled and all the machines are on the same network segment. About 80% of the machines got the client installed. Here is a snippet from my CCM log file.
