Client Push Network Access
What network access is required for client push installation? I know for ongoing client-server communication all that is needed is 443, but I think the client push requires more... 445 and 135 maybe? I am setting up a new SCCM site where we need to lock the network down as much as possible. I've scoured this document - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632618.aspx - and can't find anything related to the client push. Thanks

This is from troubleshooting SMS2003 client push, but I think it mostly applies. You'll see the common pitfalls of why client push might fail, so you'll know what you need to have open. Just ignore the capinst information, that's no longer valid in ConfigMgr.http://blogs.technet.com/smsandmom/archive/2007/08/28/how-to-troubleshoot-advanced-client-push-installation-issues-in-systems-management-server-2003.aspxStandardize. Best is to follow the actual product docs :-)http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632779.aspxWally Mead
