Client Push Installation Wizard
As Kent said, it's not possible to change this setting (By Design) Anyway, I have a question regarding the push method. ... I tried to find this information without success. I just want to know, after machines was discovered, when SCCM decide to create the CCR file. What is the timestamp? Sometimes, I saw just, after the discovery, the ccr are created, and sometimes we need to wait; wait ..... wait. Does anyone have this information ?

A CCR is generated (given that automatic client push is also activated and that the client is within the site boundaries) as soon as the DDR is written to the database. A backlog in the DDM box might cause a delay.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

If I remember correctly, the CCM will only process 8 CCRs at a time. So like Torsten said, if you discover a large number of new systems, you will have to wait while ConfigMgr sorts through them. It won't initially wait 1 hour though if that's what you are thinking. New CCRs immediately go into queue (albeit at the end of the queue); failures are automatically scheduled to rety in 1 hour.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys

Hi all, I have questions regarding Client Push Installation setup at SCCM: 1. My understanding is when i have enable client push installation and its properties, it will run automatically to push client to all computer under boundaries, no need to run client installation wizard on collection / specific computer, is that right ? 2. Some technet article says that the client installation retry every 1 hour, can we change that setting, where ? Thanks.

Hello - 1. Yes, you are correct. No need to run on specific collection. 2. If the Client Configuration Manager encounters any errors during this process, the CCR file is renamed to the name of the target client computer and is put in the SMS\Inboxes\Ccrretry.box folder. The Client Configuration Manager checks for files in this inbox folder every 60 minutes and tries to reprocess them 168 times (7 days) before they are discarded. This information is logged in the Ccm.log. 1) That's correct, it will run the installation when after you have discovered the clients (provided that the clients in not already marked as installed in the DB) 2) You can't change that setting, why do you want to do that?Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund
