Client Push Install Property on secondary site server
Hello Together,
i successfully added a secondary site server at a remote site and created a boundary. Now i want to push the configmgr-agent to the clients.
But when i look at the installation-properties in the clientpush-options it shows smsitecode=nameofmyprimarysite
Why is it not showing my secondary site there? Is that right?

Correct, clients are always assigned to primary sites, never a secondary site. They can use a DP or MP or SUP at a secondary site however.

and to be clear that is a positive thing. People always seem to perceive this as I can't assign clients to secondary sites so this must be bad. It is a very positive thing because management of the secondary site is reduced to next to zero. And by installing a dp & mp in that sitetraffic between clients and the server infrastructure remains local.

What will be issue come if primary systems assigned to primary server site code & secondary systems assigned to secondary site code?
Means I have primary server name as a Mumbai & its site code is "MUM" as well as I have secondary site its name is sikkim & its site code is "SKM"
While installation of client agent if I used "SMSSITECODE=MUM" for mumbai location systems & "SMSSITECODE=SKM" for sikkim location systems what will issue will come in this case???

Clients cannot be assigned to a secondary site. There's no "issue" per se, it just can't happen. If you try, the client will install but will fail to do anything because it is an invalid configuration.Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com

I remembering finding the whole primary/secondary site code thing confusing - especially because the site code displayed on the console for a computer changes, depending on whether it's a resource that is discovered, or a client that's assigned. Does
this help, from
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb633138.aspx ?
When the Client value displays No, and
Assigned displays Yes, the Site Code displays the site code of a primary or secondary site. Prior to installing the Configuration Manager client, the site code identifies where the resource is located, as defined by
the site boundaries.
When the Client value displays Yes, and
Assigned displays Yes, the Site Code displays the primary site code for the site that the client has joined.
Note
Configuration Manager clients are always assigned to a primary site, even when the client location is defined as a boundary at a secondary site.
