Client MP - No disk are currently monitored
Hi all, I am using the client monitoring pack to do the aggregate monitoring of Windows 7 clients. (Version 6.0.6729.0) In the Windows 7 Disk Health Report, in the Overall Disk Health section, I get the status: No disks are currently monitored. However, when I check the Monitoring Space and look at the Windows Client OS Health Monitoring Folder in the Disk Health view, I can see the Disk Health State of all the monitored client computer. Is there anything else that I need to configure in order for the report to show the Disk Health Report with collected information? Thanks, GunterGunter - www.server-log.com

Hi, As the MP guide, there is no any setting we need to configure, you could try clearing the HealthService queue on the problematic server: 1. Stop System Center Management service. 2. Go to C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\, and rename the Health Service State folder. 3. Restart System Center Management service.Alex Zhao TechNet Community Support

Hi, this affects all the currently monitored clients, which is about 20. So, I assume it's not a local problem with a single client. Thanks, GunterGunter - www.server-log.com

Hi Alex, unfortunately this did not solve the issue. Thanks, GunterGunter - www.server-log.com

it looks to me that the objects are discovered but data is not showing up in the reports. Did you check that the management server is actually inserting performance data in the OperationsManagerDW database? I would start by doing this: - first, restart the health service on the Management server - wait for about 5-10 minutes - open event viewer, filter by "health service modules" and "Data warehouse" filters - look for any errors if there are no errors, then the targets may be incorrect. Check if http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2573329 can help. thanks Jose.

Hi, thanks for this. I checked the DW database and I see e.g. the Win7DiskFailureRaw_E9D8D018F6B34C348DC4324B17D1B230 table. However the table is empty. The question now is, is this ok because there are no disk failure or is this because there is an issue. I have seen this behaviour now on two installations of the client management pack. Gunter, before digging deeper into database issues (I don't have enough info to confirm that at this point) you need to make sure that data is actually inserted. Did you check the management server event logs? the steps are documented in my previous post. if you see errors there, those may give us more info about why we are unable to see any data in the table that you mentioned in your recent response. Please let me know if you have any question. Thanks, Jose.
