Cleanup Subnets
Hello, I need to know all subnets existing on all domain controlers within our environment. is there a way to know if they are used or not? I am trying to clean-up AD. Is there a report? a view? HI This isn't really something we need to use SCOM for - I'd suggest powershell by itself would be enough. Marcus gives an example below (you need to make sure you run this on a domain controller or a server with the AD PowerShell module installed (try import-module ActiveDirectory) from powershell. http://marcusoh.blogspot.co.uk/2009/09/list-active-directory-subnets-with.html http://www.itadmintools.com/2011/08/list-sites-and-subnets-in-active.html http://blogs.msdn.com/b/adpowershell/archive/2009/08/18/active-directory-powershell-to-manage-sites-and-subnets-part-3-getting-site-and-subnets.aspx Good Luck Graham Regards Graham New System Center 2012 Blog! - http://www.systemcentersolutions.co.uk View OpsMgr tips and tricks at http://systemcentersolutions.wordpress.com/

Hello Graham, This will list all subnets in AD used or not, isn't it? My target is to delete any unused subnet. Any parameters to get the activity with the last date used? the items link to the subnets? I think better to use SCCM for this task.

Hi Dom You might also want to post on the PShell forums to see if they can come up with a script for this. Listing the subnets is trivial but finding out the number of computers on a particular subnet is likely to be less so.
