Hi folks,

I am facing this weird issue. I see that some items in the recycle bin are displayed as chinese characters. It is only with the items that are deleted from one particular list. This list was created automatically in the site when site was provisioned using  a custom site template.

Any pointers about what could have been causing it?

This seems be an issue with no answer as of now. Seems like its related to SP2010. Can you raise this to Microsoft and see any recent cumulative update fixes this issue.

I haven't met this problem in my SharePoint 2010.

What kind of custom site template are you using?

Have you updated to the latest SP AND CU for SharePoint Server 2010? maybe installing the latest updates could fix this odd issue.
