Changing the Title of Report in SSRS 2008
Hi, I have deployed my reports in SSRS 2008. Everything is running fine now, but i am facing a little issue with all the reports. Whenever i access any report from the application, the report name on the top tab bar of the new opened window comes as "Report Viewer - Windows Internet Explorer provided by Softpedia" which should actually be the name of the report which is getting generated like "rptCustomerDetails" Can somebody tell me how can i make it appear as my report name? I would be very grateful if someone can respond and help me with this..

This caption is driven by a client side registry setting. Whilst it is possible to modify to represent an html document title/caption, I'm not sure if this will work in SSRS at a report level. Possibly run a report and check the html source for any caption details compared with another public webpage that does change the application caption in IE.My Blog "Karl Beran's BI Mumble"

I dont think this is possible in SSRS. I particularly remember reading in someone's wishlist that they wanted this feature, and I think I had also voted for this in Connect. But at the moment, it looks impossible to have the name of the individual report in the internet explorer tab. Hi, As a workaround, we can embed JavaScript in the “Report.aspx” file to get the report name and display it in the browser title bar in the client. For detailed steps, please refer to the similar thread at the link below: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sqlreportingservices/thread/a7571608-20d7-4b68-8a11-fa223f818996 Thanks, Tony ChainPlease remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help
