Changing SharePoint service account passwords?
Background: this question applies to WSS/MOSS 2007/SQL Server 2008 installation “medium farm” with NLB for front end web servers. One front end web server is physical, the other two are virtual on another box. Also, the SQL server is clustered (two nodes). I have three different types of “service accounts” : username “sb-admin”, username “sb-read”, username “sb-sql”. Each of these accounts is used for various services running on the servers. One account is used for a handful of services, while another is used for a handful of other services, and another is used for a handful of other services. The passwords for these accounts in Active Directory are about to expire and I need to change these passwords through pressing ctl-alt-dlt and entering the old password, the new password, then confirming the new password. After I do this I need to change the passwords for these accounts in the services on the server: Server Manager > Configuration > Services > select xyz services > right click > click on properties > select Log On tab > select “This Account” > type in domain\username > type in password > type in password again > click OK. Restart all services this was changed for (or reboot servers). Is there anything else I need to do as part of this? Will WSS/MOSS2007/SQL Server work after I make these changes in the above manner?

You forgot about "Shared Services Administration: SSP > Search Settings > Default Content Access Account". You can check how services are working from My Computer Management->Services. But in any case to apply regular user Domain Polices on service account is a bad practice. The passwords for service account should never expire. Oleg
