Change of port for MOSS 2007 site
I have a MOSS site that I am trying to change from it's current port to port 80. I don't want our users to have to type in the port. I have one front end server and one database server. I tried this method with STSADM and recieved an error.
STSADM Method
stsadm.exe -o unextendvs -url http://servername:2000/ –deleteiissites
I received the error indicating a command line error. I was going to than proceed with:
2. stsadm.exe -o extendvsinwebfarm –url
http://servername/ -vsname <Web application name>
Am I inputting an incorrect command?

Hi,
I followed the link and was able to make the change. Thanks! I have one question, which wasn't answered on the post above.
I noticed in IIS that I now have two websites that link to the top level site - one that refers to the old one (port 2000) and one that now is where I want the site to be - on port 80. Can I delete or stop the site the website that refers to
port 2000, or will that have some unforseen consequences. Did I create duplicate content databases on my database server when I made this change or did I just create another access point to the site? THank you for your help.
