If you change the login name in AD you need to add the new AD login name to the group you want them to have access to in MOSS. J.

We are using MOSS 2007. If i am changing the login name let 'pradipta' to 'pradipta123' in AD .Then is the user can logged through pradipta123 and what about pradipta .I.e.when pradipta logged in the is it going to show unauthorized user or any other else...Thanks and Regards Er.Pradipta Nayak

SharePoint is using Windows Authentication by default, so all authentication is by Windows and AD and occurs before the user can get to SharePoint. So if you have changed user "pradipta" to "Pradipta123" then they should not be able to log on via Windows using "pradipta", and therefore cannot get to SharePoint.
