Change e-mail for form-based user
Hi, all. I create some users with wrong e-mail, some without e-mail. When I need to give them true email address I encountered a problem: i can't do this. I trying to change email in sql base aspnetdb, wss_content_webapp, then restart sql, restart IIS, restart server - nothing helps me. I tried to go to user - my settings - change and didn't see e-mail form to change. I don't need MySite collection. Question is - how i can change all information of user when user already exist. When i create user with writing same information - all information picking up.

I would change it from the Central Admin instead of the backend database. Sara

hello seems like you use FBA and use sql database as user storage (as you mentioned aspnetdb). I used CKS.FBA for user management. When I needed to change user email - I used their user edit form. It worked for my case. You can try to install it on your server (it is wsp solution which adds some actions in All Site Settings page) . You will be able to view all users and edit user info from UI. Also you will be able to deactivate it if it won't help you, or if you will fix all the users emails and it will not required anymore. Note that there is one bug during installation: one of the dependency feature is not installed. You will need just to remove mentioned feature from dependency list and activate it manually (I know that now it is quite unclear but it will be useful when you will try to install CKS.FBA)Blog - http://sadomovalex.blogspot.com CAML via C# - http://camlex.codeplex.com Graphs visualization in Sharepoint - http://spgraphviz.codeplex.com

Yes, I use solution like that, but wrote by myself. There is not enough to update field e-mail in aspnetdb base. We need use function to upgrade sharepoint profiles. But in anywhere in administration panel i can't find something like that function... And couldn't find where in bases or somewhere else need to change email.
