Change connection manager on multiple dtsx files
Hi, I have moved a datawarehouse to another domain, and need to change the connection to several databases in multiple dtsx files. Is there a way to search through the files to find where the databases are used, or another way of doing this?
Thanks in advance.

you can change all connetions in the Connection managers pane in control flow down panel.
also you can open all packages in a xml editor or notepad, and search for database in xml code and change it.http://www.rad.pasfu.com

OK, if I choose your tip nr 2, I can open only one file at a time in my xml editor right?
I would like to search through 100 packages.
Maybe something ultraedit could do? I'll check it out and let you know.

you can also add all packages to your ssis project
and then use Ctrl+F to search in all files
this will search in xml code behinds and will find all connection managers you want.http://www.rad.pasfu.com

But in order to make this not happen again to you - the next time you change domains. (And you know it will.) You should use Package Configurations. That will allow you to move the connection information out of the SSIS package
to an easy to edit, central location that affects all your packages.
