Change Task Sequence after advertisment?
Hi! I have a Task Sequence that have some Run Command lines in it. I have it on a schedule to run every 5 minutes (For testing) but i cant get the changes that i make to the command lines to take effect without re-advertise it. Is it soppose to be like that or is it a way around it? // Clint

What do you mean with "re-advertise"? Does this mean you (have to) make a whole new advertisement? Or just re-run the advertisement? What you could do is the following: - On the Collection properties go to the Membership Rules tab and set the following option: "Update this collection on a schedule" to Occur every 5 minutes (watch it, this can cause heavy load on your server(s) if you do this for too many applications). - On the Task Sequence properties go to the Schedule tab and set the following options: "Mandatory assignments" : As soon as possible "Program rerun behavior" : Always rerun program. This should rerun the program regardless of it's state which should apply your new settings.

No, it is not supposed to work that way. Have you updated the machine policy on the system you are testing on? Clients only know about server changes if they refresh their policy. Also, why are you using a mandatory schedule for testing? Why not use a non-mandatory and then you cankick it off whenever you want without having an arbitrary schedule they may accidentally get sent to other systems and cause havoc.Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com | Twitter @JasonSandys
