Central Admin Http400: Bad Request
Good afternoon to all. I've been trying to troubleshoot this error for a week now. read through most of others' threads but no help. firstly, installation is as such. Server A <- installed with WSS3.0 and Win Server 2008R2 done multiple uninstalls and reinstalls. web front end, database server name, correct domain acct with password and port 6007. just by clicking next, upon finishing, it will straight away give me a http 400 error. Unable to access the Central Administration page. tried using psconfig, provision etc, but it still shows a http 400 error. checking the event log shows me this. A request was made for a URL, http://10.3.23.82:6007, which has not been configured in Alternate Access Mappings. Some links may point to the Alternate Access URL for the default zone, http://prwdas02:6007. Review the Alternate Access mappings for this Web application at http://prwdas02:6007/_admin/AlternateUrlCollections.aspx and consider adding http://10.3.23.82:6007 as a Public Alternate Access URL if it will be used frequently. Help on this error: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=114854 I've tried adding alternate domains via stsadm but to no avail. According to the above link, Microsoft suggests to add the mapping in central admin, which i'm unable to access it at all. so my 2 concerns are, unable to access central admin and mapping not done correctly. Would really appreciate any help provided. Thank you very much.
