Catastrophic Failure
HiI'm trying to use Sharepoint for managing some of our company meetings but I am struggling somewhat. Whenever I follow the steps below I am left with a very unhelpful error message 'Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT...)) and no idea what to do to fix it. The steps are I create a basic meeting workspace. I then modify the attendee list as necessary Next I create a simple meeting and try and hook up to the meeting workspace I have just created. Blam! I get the error above. Can anyone please shed any light on what's happening here? Where do I go to try and resolve this? Thanks

Hi, Could you please let me know more information regarding to your issue? 1. Your SharePoint product version and edition. 2. The full error message. 3. If you do not modify the attendee list, did the issue still continues to happen -lambertSincerely, Lambert Qin Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Are you creating the workspace from a customised template or the standard?

It's MOSS 2007 and the error message is: Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED)) Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services. You're right, when I don't change the attendee list the error does not appear. Mind you that was the point...Steven - the template is the standard Basic template

Hi, Thanks for your updates. As the issue did not happen without customization, I would pay attention to what customizations you had done. Could you please let me know more information about this? -lambertSincerely, Lambert Qin Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

How can this be the answer - there were no customisations, unless you call changing the Attendee list which is after all the point of the exercise.
