Hi, thank you for you answer. I have one server with MOSS 2007 installed, and one server as a database server (SQL 2005). No other servers. What i have reflected when you say as you say is that i have an old outgoing SMTP server that it cant connect to. Could that be the issue? Which error from the event viewer you want? Thanks Henrik

Hi, Could you please tell me which authentication are you using in your SharePoint farm? If you had Kerberos authentication enabled in the farm running with Windows 2008 server, you need to set the Impersonation Level settings to Identify itself instead of Delegation: go to DCOM config> right click on the My computers and go to properties>click on Default Properties >under Default Impersonation level selected IDENTIFY instead of Delegation. Then click on DCOM config > Right clicked on the IIS WAMREG admin Service and go to properties > Then go to Security tab and made sure that the SharePoint Application pool account has Local Launch and Local Activation permission. After do the above steps, please try to run psconfig again. Let me know the result.
