Cant export SharePoint document library to Excel
"to export a list you must have a windows sharepoint services-compatible application"
I get this message when I try to export a Document library to a spreadsheet. The information in the list came from an infopath form.
After I click ok to this error message my browser attempts to download owssupp.dll. I'm not sure what this is. I tried to do the same from another pc by giving that user full permissions but I got the same problem.
Can anyone help me? I'm very stuck. Thanks in advance!

There may be number of reasons,
Do you have excel installed on your machine ?
Which version of Office you are running ?
Is there any proxy enabled ? Check after disabling proxy
at last try to repair office and add SharePoint Office compatible component added.
Also you can check

Under control panel you will get add or remove programms and under that you will get MS Office 2007, Click on Change button it will pop up a screen with "Add or remove features" and "repair" option
Select "Add or remove features" and click continue
In the next screen you will get Office Tools option, expand it and find for Windows Shareoint Services Support component
click on the dropdown arrow and select "Run on my computer" which will install Office compatible tools for SP
After that try to export in spread sheet.
Also one more thing before performing above steps to check proxy settings and if its there try to disable proxy and checkRegards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant |

This is the MS Office Excel Security notice to establish connection with SharePoint
It asks whether you want to allow blocked content or not , you can disable it from Excel options > trust centerRegards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant |
