Another concern, I logged on to the SCE remotely on the server to add my computer as an agent, but when I checked after an hour and ten minutes, the computer is still in the 'Pending Management' section of the 'Administration' area and it says the installation is still in progress. I don't know if it has anything to do with my original problem. Just thought give you guys more information to help you help me. Thank you again.

Thank you Eric,Yes I have already patched SCE with SP1.About the command, do I have to run it on the server or on my computer? If it is on my computer, i get this error saying, "C:\Windows\Micrososft.net\Framework\v3.0\Windows" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"Although I type in the whole path as you have described above, it gives me this error. It is ony my machine running Windows XP having problem. Other members do not have any problems although they are running Vista and Windows7.Any more suggestions.Thank you.

You can try to clear the cache by running the SCE console from the command line with the option: /clearcache. Example: "C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.SCE.UI.Console.exe" /clearcache

Thank you Eric.I have formatted my drive, got a new processor, got more memory and a new motherboard for myself.I installed SCE console on my PC. First, I installed the User Interface and went OK. Then I upgraded it with SP1 and wen OK.Then tried to run SCE console, entered the servername and I get this error,"System Center Essentials have stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program and notify you when the solution is available"Any ideas for that? I am probably missing something but this is really frustrating.
